CENTENNIAL, CO – Forbes Partners served as financial advisor to Q Surgical and Proficient Surgical in their respective sales to Western Microsurgical, LLC (“WMS”), a portfolio company of HealthEdge Investment Partners, LLC. Dan Roth and Bill Nack co-led the transactions for Forbes Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Q Surgical and Proficient Surgical provide surgical microscopes, complementary operating room products, and related support to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Founded in 2009, Q Surgical serves Northern California and Nevada. Proficient Surgical, founded in 1996, serves the Northeast. Both companies bring longstanding relationships with surgical teams and manufacturers, along with specialized product knowledge and regional expertise.
The transactions expand WMS’s geographic reach and surgical microscopy capabilities. The acquisitions extend the combined company’s surgical microscope sales and service coverage to 18 states across the western and northeastern United States.
The owners of Q Surgical and Proficient Surgical retained meaningful ownership in the combined company and remain actively involved in its operations.
